Classes for Stage Managers and Performers

January 2016 Class Schedule

This month, we're offering up some special classes for stage managers and performers! Brush up on your skills or learn new ones!

January 16 from 10-11:30 am
Cost: $5
Become familiar with all the things that go on during a show, that isn't the show. If you've even been curious about working backstage or running a show, learn from Randi Atwood, who worked professionally in NYC in the field!

January 23 at 10am
Cost: $10
This workshop will include advice on best practices for musical auditions, advice on how to build and create a working repertoire and a hands on performance workshop where you can pick and perform a song you think best showcases you, or bring a prepared song and music of your own! We will assist in finding the best cut of the song for you for auditions and talk you through how best to block and present it.

January 30 at 10am
Cost: $10
Learn the basics for success in performing the most widely used British dialects for the stage. (Including received pronunciation, cockney and BBC) Workshop will include technical and hands on performance opportunities for those participating. Instructor: Naomi Rose-Mock

January 30 from 10am-noon
Cost: $10
Want to audition for West Side Story but aren’t sure about the whole famous dance musical thing? Have no fear!  Theatre Tallahassee is helping you calm your nerves by offering a two hours workshop with the choreographer for our upcoming production, Taylor Whittle.  This class will help you brush up your technique and feel more confident in not just your West Side Story audition, but any other dance auditions you have coming your way.  It will include a warm up, skill building, across the floor exercises, and a dance combination.  Limited class space available. Come prepared to dance and move.
